hij is er niet meer.
ik leef niet, ik verricht de dagelijkse handelingen als een robot. als ik wil slapen breken de meest indringende gedachten mijn hoofd in, het zijn mantra’s geworden van onbeantwoorde liefde. ik laat iedere herinnering van ons samen de revue passeren, bang om ze los te laten of erger nog, uiteindelijk te vergeten. iedere avond realiseer ik me dat ik weer een dag geruisloos heb geleefd en vraag ik me af hoe vaak ik dezelfde dag kan herhalen voordat ik er genoeg van krijg.vannacht droomde ik over hem, hij stond in de deuropening. ‘je bent er weer’ riep ik en werd wakker van mijn eigen stem, terwijl zijn verschijning langzaam wegstierf. ik barst op de meest rare momenten in huilen uit, ik eet nog steeds het eten dat ik voor hem klaarmaakte. in de badkamer staat een flesje lenzenvloeistof, achter de opgevouwen handdoeken. het is het enige wat ik niet weg heb gegooid, mogelijk komt hij immers een keer terug. soms als ik heel stil ben, hoor ik hem in de verte ademen.
ik vraag me al een tijdje af hoe ik bij een andere verhaallijn kan komen. de dimensie waarin we nog steeds samen gelukkig zijn. ik realiseer me dat als ik nu doodga, alleen dit verhaal stopt en dat er een parallelle realiteit is waarin we bij elkaar zijn en nog steeds hand in hand over straat lopen. en samen witte wijntjes drinken op jouw balkon.
